Launched in November 2006 in Geneva (Switzerland) from the desire to bring some hope among worldwide social injustice, Evolutio International is the result of long discussions within a group of freshly graduated students and friends all from different nationalities, cultural environments and with varied master specialties.
Evolutio International is a non-governmental and non profit-making organization which main objective is to support local initiatives favoring Social capital. This very support is based on the respect of local populations as well as on the respect of our Ethical Charter.
Rather than supporting traditional cooperation models of finished projects, we believe it more useful to endeavor local initiatives by and for the recipients themselves. By these means our purpose is to build a self-help network group in which the individual as well as the community itself are the main craftsmen and beneficiaries.
With this very prospect, EI intends to implement concrete action strategies like social micro-credit, alternative twin programs and cooperation with different local partners (see projects headline). Thanks to the skills and competences of volunteers in Switzerland combined to those of our local partners in the different countries where EI is active, this all becomes possible.
EI includes an Executive Comity consisted of seven members as well as a supporting Comity. Both are taking care of the successful completion of our activities. All the members are reunited at least once a year when the General Assembly is held.
